Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects across commercial, industrial, and agricultural markets.

The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge, hands-on estimating experience, and strong proficiency with electrical estimating software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate electrical project estimates from plans, specifications, and bid documents

  • Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost analysis

  • Utilize estimating software to develop bids, pricing models, and proposals

  • Review project scope, drawings, and specifications to identify risks, gaps, and cost impacts

  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and field leadership during preconstruction and project handoff

  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

  • Maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and labor units

  • Participate in bid reviews and value engineering efforts

  • Assist with change order pricing and project budget tracking as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating or electrical construction

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods

  • Proven experience using electrical estimating software such as Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, McCormick, or similar platforms

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related office tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician background strongly preferred

  • Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or agricultural electrical projects

  • Familiarity with project management or accounting software

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
